About Cool Congregations
This Cool Congregations workshop is a “train-the-trainers” event. Your team will be given all the tools and knowledge needed to bring Cool Congregations to your home congregation and sustain it. The tool is fun and easy to use, and the workshop will help you develop a strategy for successful use in your congregation. If you’ve been looking for the activity that would get the whole congregation involved in stewardship of the Earth, this is the workshop for you. The three-hour workshop will include breaks, talking time, and help you to understand:How do I register?
- Download the registration form, fill it out. You must register to participate.
It’s best to bring a team of 2 or 3 or more from your congregation. Please submit a form for each member attending from your congregation. If you have problems call or write us at traviswidol@gmail.com. - Download and print the Carbon Footprint Checklist,which asks you for information on your entire household for the last 12 months. Fill it out and bring it to the workshop so we can measure your carbon footprint.
- Be sure to include a check for $10.00 per person or $25 per team of three made out to-Interfaith Alliance Hawaii: HI-IPL.

Cool Congregations Trainer
Sarah Webb is the statewide coordinator for Cool Congregations, an earth stewardship program of
Iowa Interfaith Power & Light, and now a national program initiative of the
Interfaith Power & Light network. She is an
artist and activist who also worked with
Yards For Kids, a neighborhood toxics reduction program, and was the book editor for
Fugitive Faith: Conversations on Spiritual, Environmental and Community Renewal. She and her husband Rev. Benjamin
Webb have three daughters.
